Celebrating 15 years of Horus Security
This month we are celebrating 15 years of Horus! We are thrilled to have reached this important milestone as a company and celebrate those key moments we have achieved so far throughout those 15 years. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, Horus has managed to continue to grow as a company – we are soon to be opening an Austin, Texas office as well as expanding our UK based team of experts. As we take a moment to celebrate these 15 years, we have chosen to share some our favourite moments.
The launch of Horus Security Consultancy in 2006
After his military career, Jonathan founded Horus in Oxford in 2006; this began our enduring connection to the City of Oxford. It’s our hometown and where our roots are.
In the intervening years, we have expediently grown and continuously developed to become a leading UK company providing intelligence-led, end-to-end security services. Our Head Office remains in Oxford, and we have satellite offices in the City of London.
Opening of our Asia Pacific Office (HAP)
From Horus’ success of building a strong presence in the UK with both Oxford and London. We decided to open our first Asia Pacific office in Singapore in February 2015. From here, The Horus Intelligence Group (THIG) can offer its services directly into the Singaporean and South-East Asian marketplace, utilising the skills of both locally recruited graduates, expatriates, and a cadre of secondees from within THIG’s UK-based companies.
Development of our in-house technology
Over the past years we have developed a range of in-house technology to aid in our range of services. The best people need the best tools. To stay ahead of the security threats to our clients’ livelihoods, we live on the very cutting edge of technology. We leave nothing to chance, researching, developing and implementing our own suite of in-house software to integrate with the latest commercially available technology.
Partnerships
From building a strong industry presence and relationships with companies alike. We have forged relationships with strategic partners across the globe to leverage their expertise and technology advancements and further grow our capabilities and services to our clients. Our current strategic relationships include Universal Security Systems who specialises as a security technology integrator in the design, installation and support of converged security solutions. We have also partnered with Halo Solutions who provide public safety by providing solutions for event and venue management. Our final partnership is with communications system integrators, DTS Solutions who have a background in two-way radio, broadband push-talk, body-worn video and various communication appliances.
Screening figures
Our market-leading security screening service has allowed us to consistently discover potential insider attempts and derogatory candidate information pre-hire for a vast range of clients. Over the past 15 years, we have been able to check 300+ sanction lists and 75+ foreign jurisdictions, enabling us to protect numerous organisations from disruption.
Launch of Horus North America
2021 saw the launch of Horus North America led by former Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent, Ed Lueckenhoff. The opening of our US office will see us offer our services to a range of potential public and private sector clients.
Delivering security services to over 10 sectors
As our team have grown, so has our knowledge. Our team of consultants bring a depth of knowledge deriving from previous careers in various sectors from pharmaceutical and finance to transport and higher education.
Supporting local charities and sports teams
Horus strongly believes in supporting and giving back to the local communities in which we operate. The organisations, projects, and teams we have been supporting over the years have all been nominated by members of the Horus team, these include The British Army’s Intelligence Corps Rugby Team, Bromyard Football Club, the Story Museum in Oxford and Mind mental health charity who we are currently doing a virtual walk-in aid of, read more about the challenge here.
