4,861 miles – £4,861 for Mind charity
In April we launched our Ox2Tex challenge to mark our 15th birthday and celebrate the upcoming opening of ‘Horus North America’ in Austin, TX. The goal of the challenge was to encourage our team to either walk, run or cycle a combined total of 4,861 miles – a virtual distance from Oxford to Austin, TX.
We recognise that the pandemic has had a significant impact on everyone’s life and mental health. That is why we chose to support the mental health charity Mind for this challenge, to help them continue their unparalleled support to people of all ages across the UK. For every mile the Horus team completed we donated £1, to reach the £4,861 goal.
Since launching our Ox2Tex Challenge we have seen various Horus Security employees take part. Whether that’s stacking up the miles on their daily walk to cycling towards the goal. The team have enjoyed seeing their contributions add up to the final goal of 4,861 miles. We have also shared regular updates of our walk progress on our LinkedIn page.
Subsequently, we are thrilled to announce that we have now completed our Ox2Tex challenge, as collectively the Horus Team has fulfilled our goal of 4,861 miles!
